About the Artist
I am Kate Hayes, the hand behind these Spirit Art drawings. Each piece begins with a breath, an image, a feeling..and then the mind grows still.
Charcoal that I burn from willow meets recycled paper, and something beyond thought moves the lines.
I call these presences Ancestors—not of blood, but of all that has ever lived and is living still.
They are not here to teach, but to remind us to look and listen for ourselves.
Each Set is Unique
Every pack of 'Whispers from the Ancestors' is made entirely by hand—printed on recycled card, wrapped in felted wool, tied with hemp and linen, finished with seeds and carved wood beads. Because of this, no two bundles are ever exactly the same. The slight variations are not flaws but the mark of living materials and the quiet work of many hands. Each set is a one-of-a-kind piece of art, made to be held and treasured.
Ways to use this Deck:
Reading the Cards
Hold the deck in your hands and breathe until you feel still. Ask the ancestors for the whisper you most need. Shuffle slowly, then draw the card—or cards—that call to you. Read the story, rest with the image, and listen beyond the words. The guidance is in the silence after reading and in the echo inside your own heart.
1. Simple Daily Draw
Hold the deck in your hands. Close your eyes and breathe until you feel quiet. Ask the ancestors to offer the whisper you most need today. Draw a single card. Let the image and words speak before you reach for meaning.
2. Three-Card Reflection
When you seek a wider view, draw three cards:
• Past – what brought you here
• Present – what is moving now
• Dreams – what the ancestors invite you to notice next.
3. Listening Practice
Spread the cards face down. Pass your hand slowly above them. Pause when you sense a pull—heat, a tingle, a quiet knowing. Turn that card and listen. The guidance is in the image, the story, and the silence between your thoughts.
